Who Studies with Us & How Long Does it Take?
We
have worked effectively with the entire spectrum of learners, from those designated as learning disabled (Dyslexia, A.D.D., A.D.H.D., Auditory Processing Disorder), to the student who is just bored (!) and
looking for more challenge, to the adult who wants to get into an MBA
program, to the retired engineer who wants to do calculus problems to exercise his brain.
Our approach seems to
grease the skids:
students generally master the math taught in grades four through seven in twelve to twenty sessions. From there the mastery of first year algebra takes another twenty meetings or so. A fairly good rule of thumb is that each course takes about 40 hours of instruction. One (very motivated) adult student went from
rusty arithmetic to the door of calculus in one (very busy) summer.
